Silicon Power XS70 SSD – Software and Accessories

The Silicon Power company delivers its XS70 SSD module in a compact packaging box format with no additional accessories. There arent any dedicated software that comes along with it. It is basically and plug and play method just like a Hard Disk. Although there is two utility software such as CrystalDiskInfo and Macrium Reflect for SSD that you can use to monitor and clone data. Other than that the packaging is just like any other NVMe SSD Packaging.

XS70 Gen 4 SSD – Design and Build Quality

The XS70 SSD has been manufactured with a premium quality material heatsink which is also user-removable. The chassis has a strong and sturdy metallic backplate which gives superior protection to the SSD from direct pressures and shocks. Silicon Power features a special design that incorporates a larger surface area from where it can dissipate heat quickly and prevents the SSD from overheating.

The SSD can easily be installed on both Desktop PC and the latest Gaming Consoles. But for laptops, users will have to remove the mounted heatsink as many modern laptops do not have sufficient clearance or additional space for the SSD heatsinks separately.

SP Xpower XS70 SSD – Performance and Benchmark

The Silicon Power Company has given their statement as per their lab test that it provides up to 7300 MB/s of reading speed and up to 6800 MB/s of write speed. Although, we did our tests with this fast M.2 NVMe module with the help of CrystalDiskMark 8.0.4 x64 software, and here are the results:

LEVELREAD (MB/s)WRITE (MB/s)

Although the numbers from our experiment are just slightly low than the Silicon Power company’s lab test. But the impressive thing is, that this is the fastest SSD that we have tested so far. Also from our other 40GB normal file transfer test, it delivers an average of 2.3GB/s speed without any additional third-party boosting software.
