Nvidia GeForce RTX 4080 GPU has finally been released, and it claims to be faster than the previous Nvidia flagship GPU, the RTX 3090Ti.
Nvidia recently released its RTX 4000 series GPU models in the PC gaming market to replace the older 3000 Series cards. These 4000 series GPUs have better performance compared to the previous 3000 series. And in this article, we will deeply analyse the performance of the Nvidia Geforce RTX 4080 GPU. It is the latest and upgraded version of the previous-generation RTX 3080 GPU.
Nvidia Geforce RTX 4080 features a new electronics architecture along with many new things to offer. Currently, Asus, MSI, PNY, and Zotac have released their versions of Nvidia’s RTX 4080 GPU edition in the PC gaming market. A separate founders edition is also available from Nvidia. This 4080 is manufactured with the AD103 silicon and has 62% more transistors when compared to the previous generation’s flagship GPU, the RTX 3090Ti.
So we have tested the all-new Nvidia RTX 4080 GPU to see how well it performs in gaming and benchmarking applications.

Nvidia GeForce RTX 4080 is available worldwide with all the major online and offline retailers, with a starting price tag of $1199. But the price of this GPU may vary from country to country and also depends on whether you buy its founders edition or the after-market editions.
Nvidia GeForce RTX 4080 – Design
RTX 4080 GPU of Nvidia now comes with a big heat sink design. And the other company-made editions are equipped with an excellent backplate for heat vapouring and safety. This Card features a 16-pin 12V power connector which is very controversial because some users have complained that the connector is getting burned while in use.
Although its PCIe 5.0 can provide up to 600 watts of consistent power. Geforce RTX 4080 supports the next-gen DLSS 3.0 and is manufactured with 3rd Generation RT cores. From the design, the 4080 GPU model is 3% lighter in weight than the 4090 GPU and comes with a more oversized heatsink which takes up to 3 GPU slots in your motherboard.

Nvidia Geforce RTX 4080 Cooling
We have the Nvidia RTX 4080 Founders Edition Graphics card with us. After playing Hitman 3 at maximum settings on 4K resolution, the Card reached a maximum temperature of 74 degrees celsius while the peak was around 78-degree celsius.
The core clock frequency of the RTX 4080 during the Graphics Card usage is around 2760Mhz, while the maximum power draw was rated at 300W. The fan was rotating at a speed of 1450 RPM during the test. Although the cooling temperatures were reasonably expected, there is nothing new to add.
Nvidia Geforce RTX 4080 – Final Verdict
The above chat list shows that the RTX 4080 performs better than the old-gen 3090Ti GPU on the 4K gaming preset. Our experiment hasn’t seen any lag during the full gaming test. Although, from our perspective, the DLSS 3.0 implementation is relatively new and needs to improve.
The design of this GPU has forced us to install a supportive bracket to the motherboard section inside the cabinet. It would help if you had a big cabinet for sufficient air ventilation. Also, Nvidia could reduce the price of it to $1199 as the pricing is relatively high for a 16GB Graphics Card.
