Logitech G435 Gaming Headphone – Design and Features

Logitech’s this G435 headset is designed with the usual aesthetics for ear cups and headbands. The left earcup holds all the functional buttons, a battery level indicator, and a USB Type C charging port. The functional buttons in the left ear cup are the power off-on button, volume up-down button, and mute button. The microphone is also attached to the left side ear cup. The right side ear cup holds a Logitech sticker and nothing else.

Logitech G435 Gaming Headphone - Design and Features

Both earcups are very much adjustable to fit your ears comfortably and adequately. The memory foams of both ear cups are designed in an oval type shape and are very soft. There is no memory foam or cloth between the mesh-designed headphone speakers.

Although we get a slightly louder volume, there is a high risk of dust entering the headphones through those mesh holes. Also, if you have larger ear cups, you can feel slight discomfort during prolonged sessions despite being lightweight. We recommend you install a small cloth inside that foam by taking off the memory foam.

The total weight of this wireless Logitech Gaming headset comes just under 165g. Logitech G435 is manufactured with plastic material with a minimum of 22% recyclable material. From our test, the frequency response range of this product is 20Hz to 20KHz and has an impedance of 45 Ohms.

When you connect everything and press the power button of the left earcup, the G435 turns on, and you will see the LED battery indicator. If you see a green light, you must assume that the battery life lies between 31% and 100%. And the red light indicates battery life is now between 15% to 30%. And when the indicator is flashing in red, it is a warning sign that it is below 15%, and you need to charge this up. However, the disadvantage is that you cannot see the battery status while wearing this on your ears.

Logitech G435 Light Weight Gaming Headset – Sound and Mic Quality

logitech g435 retail packaging

The 40 mm sound driver is excellent. But we cannot say that it is the best we have experienced. For the price it comes for, it is perfect, that’s it. From our perspective, this headset works best when connected with Bluetooth, and it truly delivers a lightspeed connection without any response time lag. But, if the Bluetooth dongle is placed near or in front of another dongle or USB product plugged in simultaneously, the dongle gets hotter and creates lots of noise distortion. This might not be your case, but we had an issue like this with our review model.

The soundscape of this G435 is quite balanced. In multiplayer games, you can hear environmental sounds like enemy footsteps, gunfire, etc., even in low-volume mode. The clarity is good, but we won’t recommend this if you want to hear music on it. We also noticed a small amount of sound leak when the volume level was above 85%. Although, this Logitech product does not come with an active noise cancellation technology. You can still hear outside sounds while wearing the headset and playing games.

The microphone of this Logitech G435 delivers a very decent voice quality. The sound quality is average and doesn’t match up to the mark. It was insignificant when we tested this on Steam, Discord, Origin and other voice chatting apps. This is because of the microphones. The mics are placed in such a way that it captures the external noise more than the actual voice, which is why your voice’s audio quality might sound more on the treble side, and the bass and the texture of the voice are missing.

This was evident when we tested the G435 headphones against the higher-end G733. Logitech could think about this and make a removable boom microphone on this G435, as this headset doesn’t have a proper mic in front of your mouth, which can be a significant letdown for gamers.

With 17 hours of usage with gaming, we have seen the battery life has been used entirely with a volume level of 80%. With the USB Type C Charing, it takes 2hrs to charge up fully. The biggest disappointment is that it has no 3.5mm audio connectivity, so you won’t be able to use this on a wired mode.

Because of this, if the battery gets out of power while gaming, you will have to charge it again before using it, as you can’t charge and play simultaneously. Also, there is no Logitech G Hub Software Support for this headphone.

Logitech G435Final Verdict

  • Average performance for Console gaming, listing music on any device
  • Good 3d surrounding sound while gaming
  • Very soft memory foam of earcups
  • Very much adjustable in earcup fitting
  • Bluetooth superfast speed connection
  • It fits under every beginner gamer’s budget

  • Dongle gets hotter, and sound distorts if another or any ruining USB connector plugs near it.
  • No sound adjustment as for no G-Hub software support
  • Below Average quality of Mic
  • No Active Noise cancellation technology

That’s all, Folks!
