The all-new Lenovo Ideapad 5 16IHU6 has an aluminum build quality and it comes in a silver matte finish. Lenovo calls this color the Cloud Gray. The build quality is really good and it feels great whenever you are carrying it. The matte finish would give you a really good grip rather than the glossy finished ones and is also resistant to fingerprints. The metallic glossy Lenovo branding is engraved on the top right corner of the laptop lid. The battery comes preinstalled on the Ideapad 5 Pro 16 laptop.

The Lenovo Ideapad 5 Pro 16 features a whopping 75W/hr Battery which is much better compared to its competitors. The battery-saving features also give a 30 min more runtime. In the Wifi test, the laptop ran for 9 hours approximately and more than 10 hours in a video test running in a loop. The wireless modules like the Wifi and the Bluetooth were disabled during the video test.
The 720p 0.9MP Webcam featured in this laptop can shoot and record videos at a resolution of 1280×720 pixels. The all-new Lenovo Ideapad 5 Pro 16 also features the Geforce MX450 2GB, Graphics Card. The Nvidia Geforce MX450 is based on Turing architecture identical to the higher-end GTX 1650 Graphics Card for laptops. However when under full load, the temperatures managed to hit 50 degrees Celcius and might be as high as 60 degrees. This is because of the High-Performance cooling profile present on the laptop. The average temperature of the laptop stays within the safe zone and hence it doesn’t suffer from any thermal throttling issues.

The Lenovo Ideapad 5 Pro internals can be accessed by using a screwdriver and removing all the screws from the back. Yes, you can upgrade the M.2 SSD slots, but you cannot upgrade the RAM as it is soldered on the Motherboard.
Should I buy a Lenovo Ideapad 5 Pro 16?
A short answer is yes. Definitely. It is an all-rounder. It is one of those laptops which has almost everything that an average laptop user would desire. The i5 11300H Processor and the Geforce MX450 Graphics Card constantly perform at their best under full load hence delivering excellent performance out of the box. The 16-inch 2560×1600 IPS display is a boon for coders and programmers who would love to have an extra space at the bottom of the display. Lenovo did a lot of right things in this laptop including the inclusion of the Thunderbolt 4.0 port.
