Intel Core i7 13700K CPU has finally launched to replace the last gen Intel Core i9-12900k in terms of performance!
The Intel Core i7 13700K processor is a new chip that comes under Intel’s Raptor Series of Processors. These are Intel 13th Generation Chips, with a market price of $400, which attracts a wide range of buyers looking to build a PC with the latest generation hardware. Apart from the Intel Core 13700K, the company also released the Core i5 13600K and the Core i9 13900K chips, which we are reviewing in a different article.
After the arrival of the Core i9 CPU in every gen, the Core i7 CPU is now considered a medium to high-range performing CPU. And in 2022, the newest addition of this CPU version is the 13th Gen Core i7 13700K. This CPU is manufactured by balancing the capability of performance and affordability in the PC gaming market.
This CPU now belongs to the Raptor lake family and holds the Socket 1700 socket. With a TDP of 125W, it now comes with the electronics architecture design of 16 cores and 24 threads, similar to the Core i9 12900K CPU. To test the CPU’s actual capability, we did some experiments with it to see whether it was good or not. We have discussed a lot of details about the tests in this article.
So without further delay, check the all-new Intel Core i7 13700K CPU.

Intel 13700K – Final Verdict
The above chart list shows that this Intel Core i7 13700K’s gaming benchmark is very similar to the old 12th Gen Core i9 12900K CPU. By testing all the latest-gen games in the same system and graphics settings, we are getting only a few extra fps which is not much as you would expect. But this is the case for every generation of processors, no matter if they are from Intel or AMD.
If you are a 12th Gen Core i7 user, you can go for the update if you want. And if you have 12th Gen Core i9 on your system, then we suggest you keep that for right now and wait for the Intel14th-gen CPU, as a bit of 4-5 extra fps does not matter in single-player or multiplayer gaming. But if you are building a new PC, then definitely go for the Intel 13th Generation chips.
The price of the Intel Core i7 13700k is around $400, which is great for such a great-performing processor.
