Cheapest Ryzen 7000 motherboard Asus Prime x670P – Price and Availability
Asus Prime x670P is already available with all the major online and offline retailers, with a starting price tag of $289. But the price of this motherboard may vary from one country to another.
Asus Prime x670P Ryzen Motherboard- Design
Asus has made its Ryzen 7000 series supported Prime x670P motherboard in a black and silver design. This motherboard can be used both for gaming and content creation. When we looked carefully at the motherboard, we observed that the colour is darker in the areas where PCIe slots are placed.
As a lower motherboard end, the larger and fancier heatsinks are not available on this motherboard. But the material of the board is very much excellent and durable. It was not easy to bend the motherboard when we tested it out by exerting pressure on it. Asus has focused on building quality as the little pins of the boards are welded firmly.

The placement of RAM is also relatively standard, and there is no differentiating factor between the other entry-level x670P motherboards. Nowadays, everyone buys watercoolers for CPUs, even for low-end builds, but they are pretty easy to install on this motherboard. But if you wish to install a larger air cooler for your CPU, there is ample space to install RAMs in all four slots.
The cage of the section is all right. Many capacitors are visible between the CPU port’s left side and the heatsink’s right side. All USB and other ports are also placed well. But still, I have very much doubt whether this board can CPU overclock from its design.

This motherboard is a very functional entry-level motherboard that will suit every AMD Ryzen 7000 Series PC builds, whether it can be gaming or content creation. You should also note that only one single M.2 heatsink is present on this board, while for the others, you can install the additional M.2 slots using the provided screws.

Asus Prime X670P Ryzen Motherboard- Performance
The motherboard features a 12+2 DrMos VRM, which runs at 60 Amps. It also comes with a plus six-layer PCB. Even though a Ryzen 9 7950X will be okay, we suggest you go with the Ryzen 7 7700X. Please run these at the stock settings, as this motherboard is not meant to overclock.
You can also use the motherboard to fine-tune your CPU like you would want to, as it features various performance modes and DDR5 modes. You can also find the AI overclocking features to get a little boost for all your applications.
ASUS also made sure that the BIOS Flashbacks are easy in case you need your system to recover from different issues. The boot times that we have tested out are pretty short.
You will also be able to download the Asus All in one Armoury Crate, which lets you adjust the different RGB Profiles with a single click on a button. You can also adapt and set custom fan curves for the 6 PWM headers presented on your motherboard. The software can easily be downloaded from ASUS’s website.
It is an excellent motherboard; as far as our Ryzen 7 7700X is concerned, the processor ran great on the motherboard without a hitch. We used 6000Mhz RAM and paired it with an RTX 3060Ti; the results were fantastic. The motherboard doesn’t impact performance, but a good motherboard will help you get features, and it is a step up from B650 motherboards any day.
