“Battlegrounds Mobile” India, the Indian version of online PUBG Game for mobile devices has finally been announced. It is being developed by Krafton Inc., a South Korean Video game holding Company. It will be a direct replacement of the PUBG Mobile that was banned last year by the Government of India. PUBG mobile battleground was banned because of its involvement of the Chinese company, Tencent.
When the ban happened on Chinese apps in India, PUBG mobile, which was then one of the highest played Mobile game, was also blocked & taken down. It was not available for download on any Mobile platform, be it the Google Play store or the App Store. It had a huge impact in the Gaming community as the game was widely popular and more or less 80%-90% of the youth in the country used to play PUBG game every day. It was even rumored last year that PUBG might be back.
But this year, it is back!
How to Pre-Register?
Follow these steps to Pre-register for the game in India –
- Go to the Google Play Store on your Mobile and open it.
- In the search bar “Battlegrounds Mobile India”. Write the exact spelling when searching for it.
- The game will show up in the Search results as “Coming Soon” .
- Tap on it and click on the Pre-register button.
- Double check the developer. It will show as “Krafton”.
If not, don’t bother downloading it. Because there are other apps as well with more or less the same keywords.
And, the game is not yet available to play or download. Krafton just gave us the options of pre-registering ourselves. As the game releases, you will be notified to download it from the Google Play Store.

Battlegrounds Mobile India release date
The game release date haven’t been confirmed yet by the South Korean Game holding company. But we can assume that Krafton will give us a release date soon because the Pre-registrations are already on.
The game will be limited to India only. It will get detailed content updates every month and will feature India specific outfits, events, features and game modes.

PUBG Game Developer’s requirements for Battlegrounds Mobile India
- A Stable Internet Connection
- Android version 5.1.1 and above along with 2GB RAM allocation for the game.
We are still not sure about the game release on the iOS platform. Only players of age 18 & above will be able to play this game. They have also restricted the time to 3 hours per day. The developers also put a cap on the maximum spending limit of Rs.7000 in game transactions and purchases.
