AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D vs 7900X3D Gaming Performance

Testing out the AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D vs 7900X3D Gaming Performance to see how much of a difference does each of them make in Gaming.

Two AMD Ryzen 9 series CPUs were released on the 4th of Jan, 2023, known as the AMD Ryzen 7950X3D and 7900X3D. Both the CPU models are based on the latest Generation AM5 technology and feature the 3D-V Cache with similar specs but a few architectural differences.

We also got to review the previous version of this CPU, AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D, and it is still, to date, one of the best CPUs for both Gaming and Content Creation. As both AMD and Intel launched their new iterations of Processors, i.e. 7000 Series and 13th Gen, respectively, AMD wanted to go ahead with the competition and released their newest version of their latest V-3D Cache Processors, 7900X3D and the 7950X3D.

As the design of 7950X3D and 7900X3D comes with slightly different design architecture and price tags, which one will be worth buying when it comes to gaming? So we decided to run a benchmark test between these 2 CPUs to clarify which of these two processors performs best in gaming!

So without further delay, let’s quickly check out the AMD Ryzen 7950X3D vs 7900X3D Gaming Performance.

Ryzen 7900X3D vs 7950X3D- Final Thoughts

From the above result chat, we can see that only with Hitman 3 and CS: GO Game, the Ryzen 9 7950X3D has taken a massive lead by delivering more FPS. And as for the rest of the games, except for SpiderMan, the FPS benchmarking results are very similar.

So it is clear that even equipped with more cores and threads, the Ryzen 7950X3D CPU performs the same as the Ryzen 9 7900X3D with the latest gen games. So if you want to save approximately $100, you can also go for the 7900X3D CPU without hesitation.

And if you want to keep yourself updated with the latest hardware and focus more on Content Creation as well, then getting the 7950X3D CPU won’t make much of a difference as both of these CPUs are catered towards Content Creation and Gaming.

So this was all about AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D vs 7900X3D Gaming Performance. Let us know in the comments below if you think we missed anything.
