AMD Radeon RX 7900XT GPU has been released in the PC gaming market with a new RDNA3 architecture for next-level graphical performance
After much hype and anticipation, AMD has finally launched its all-new RX 7000 GPUs in the PC gaming market. AMD has launched two GPUs, the RX 7900XT and the RX 7900XTX, and we will talk about the XT version today. It is the slight step-down model version of the flagship AMD GPU RX 7900 XTX. AMD claims this 7900XT will have a performance boost of 50% over the old RX 6000 series.
This GPU’s new RDNA3 electronics architecture claims it has excellent optimization and newer GPU features like their latest Adrenalin Software, Fidelity FX Super Resolution and the AMD Link. This RX 7900XT is based on NAVI 31 silicon and holds a 17% better IPC uplift than the old RDNA2. For this reason, AMD thinks it will be an excellent competitor to the latest Nvidia RTX 4090 and the 4080 GPU, especially in price-to-performance ratio.
Now without further delay, let’s check out the all-new AMD Radeon RX 7900XT GPU and its performance.

AMD Radeon RX 7900XT – Price and Availability
AMD Radeon RX 7900XT GPU is now available worldwide with all the major online and offline retailers with a starting price tag of $899. But the price of this GPU may vary from one country to another.
Navi RX 7900XT – Design
AMD has manufactured their all-new 7900XT GPU with a 3-fan design. 7900XT has a large heatsink and is well-covered with a thick backplate. The screw areas in the backside are painted with red colours and are built out of chiplets rather than the larger monolithic chip. This is just a little smaller than the XTX model. This model does not have any RGB Backlighting, and the total weight of this model is approximately 1533 grams only. With an oversized bracket, it almost takes up three slots in your cabinet.

Radeon RX 7900XT is well constructed for cooling, as it comes with an excellent vapour chamber. No heat pipes are inside this GPU, as the large heatsink to get the job done. The GPU core is designed as a 14-phase desire controlled by a Monolithic 70 A current Power system. This system manages the power supply inside the GPU very well and protects it from getting short circuits.
The three fans on the OEM AMD Radeon RX 7900XT are great, and it keeps the Graphics card under safe temperatures, so you won’t be losing out on performance if you are going with a reference RX 7900XT Graphics Card.

AMD Radeon RX 7900XT – Noise and Thermal
With a constant 100% load while gaming on this GPU, we observed that the card reached up to 62 degrees Celcius. In this situation, the fan ran at 66% of its total speed with an RPM of 1747 units. The average fan noise was calculated at 37 dB, and the GPU always stayed under 34 degrees celsius when idle.

AMD Radeon RX 7900XT – Final Verdict
As per the performance we have seen, the AMD Radeon 7900XT is a great Graphics card, and AMD did a great job of launching it at a lower price range than its Green competitor, Nvidia. Of course, it is a large-size card, but still, AMD has managed to keep the size smaller than the RTX 4080. And even with such a powerful performance, the smaller form factor kept up with our cooling expectations.
We have seen the performance of this Navi 31 GPU 7000 series GPU. The GPU scored 100+ FPS for all the games, even at a performance at 1440p/2K resolution without any performance hits. The 4K results are fantastic, and we are pretty sure that as time progresses, AMD will be pushing out newer and newer drivers which will directly impact the performance of all the RX Graphics Cards.
